This means you need to be in the top 7% of all test takers to qualify for JEE Advanced. To secure a seat in a top NIT, simply qualifying is not enough; you need to aim for a 98+ percentile to have a wide range of options.Remember that percentiles are relative. In an easy shift, 180 marks might give you a 97 percentile, whereas in a tough shift, 150 marks might give you the same result.Age Limit for JEE 2027According to the current NTA guidelines for JEE Main:No Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for candidates to appear in JEE Main 2027.Qualifying Year: You can appear for JEE Main if you passed your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2025, 2026, or if you are appearing in 2027.Number of Attempts in JEEJEE Main: You can attempt the exam for 3 consecutive years from the year you pass Class 12.JEE Advanced: You can attempt the exam a maximum of 2 times in 2 consecutive years.JEE Main 2027 Detailed SyllabusMathematics Syllabus (Calculus is King!)Unit TopicWeightage (Approx)AlgebraMatrices & Determinants, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, P&C, Binomial Theorem, Sequences & Series35%CalculusLimits, Continuity & Differentiability, Integration, Differential Equations30%Coordinate GeometryStraight Lines, Circles, Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola15%Vectors & 3DVector Algebra and 3D Geometry15%OthersStatistics, Probability, Trigonometry5%Physics Syllabus (Mechanics & Electrodynamics)SectionKey UnitsPriorityMechanicsKinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy & Power, Rotational Motion, GravitationVery HighElectrodynamicsElectrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects, EMI & ACVery HighModern PhysicsAtoms, Nuclei, Dual Nature of RadiationHighThermodynamicsThermal Properties, Laws of Thermodynamics, KTGMediumOpticsRay Optics and Wave OpticsMediumExperimentalVernier Callipers, Screw Gauge, etc. (Section B)MediumChemistry SyllabusChemistry is the most scoring subject.
